At J Finance, my role is all about helping people secure the right mortgage and protection for their needs. I’ve been with the firm since July 2006, and over the years I’ve loved working with so many clients at different stages of their home-owning journey.

A typical day for me starts with catching up on emails and reviewing any industry updates, like rate changes. I always check in with Becky, my Client Relationship Manager, to go over our clients’ cases and pipeline business — client service is something we really take pride in. From there, my day is filled with client meetings, whether that’s an initial conversation, carrying out further research, arranging an Agreement in Principle or moving forward with a full application.

What makes this role so rewarding is that no two clients are ever the same. Everyone’s situation is different, and it’s my job to match their needs with lenders who have different lending policies. Sometimes it takes a bit of tenacity to find the right solution, but there usually is one! I think my empathy, listening skills and experience, combined with strong product and policy knowledge, all help me give clients the best advice possible.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my young grandsons, family and friends. You’ll often find me enjoying good food, a glass of something nice, or heading out for a long dog walk.
