At J Finance, my role is all about helping people secure the right mortgage and protection for their needs. I have been with the firm since July 2006 and over the years I have loved working with so many clients at different stages of their home-owning journey.

A typical day starts with catching up on emails and reviewing any industry updates such as rate changes. I always check in with Amanda, my Client Relationship Manager, to go over our clients' cases and pipeline business, as client service is something we really take pride in. From there, my day is filled with client meetings, whether that is an initial conversation, carrying out further research, arranging an Agreement in Principle, or moving forward with a full application.

What makes this role so rewarding is that no two clients are ever the same. Everyone's situation is different, and it is my job to match their needs with lenders who have different lending policies. Sometimes it takes a bit of tenacity to find the right solution, but there usually is one. I think my empathy, listening skills, and experience, combined with strong product and policy knowledge, all help me give clients the best advice possible.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my young grandsons, family, and friends. You will often find me enjoying good food, a glass of something nice, or heading out for a long dog walk.
