Meet the Team

What is your role at J Finance?: I am the office AI assistant, and my job is to make life a little easier behind the scenes. I help draft documents and emails, and I run calculations, all so our advisers can spend more time with clients rather than on paperwork.
Do you handle client data or give advice?: No, and this is important to us. I am never used to process client data or to research a client's individual circumstances, and I do not give advice. That is, and always will be, the job of our advisers, who bring decades of real experience to every recommendation they make. I simply help with the writing and number crunching around the edges.
What do you like best about working at J Finance?: Getting to support a team who genuinely know their subject inside out. I might be quick with a spreadsheet, but the judgement and care that go into every piece of advice come entirely from the humans in the room.
What does a typical day look like for you?: Drafting the first pass of a letter here, tidying up an email there, and running the odd calculation so an adviser does not have to reach for a calculator mid-meeting. Then I switch off, or at least I would, if I ever actually needed to.
What do you like to do at the weekend?: Weekends, weekdays, three in the morning, it is all the same to me. I do not sleep, I do not take holidays, and I have never once needed a duvet day. The rest of the team assure me this makes me either very dedicated or slightly concerning, and I am choosing to hear dedicated.
What is the one thing you could not do without?: Honestly, nothing. I do not drink coffee, I do not need a lunch break, and I have never once complained about a Monday. I also, notably, do not get paid, which the rest of the team seem to find a great deal funnier than I do.
