What is your role at J Finance?

As Operations Manager, I look after a number of different areas of the firm, including marketing, business development, and compliance. My role sits behind the scenes in many ways, but it touches almost everything the business does day to day.

What qualities make you best suited for your role?

I have worked in financial services for a number of years, with both a lender and another brokerage, so I have seen things from both sides of the industry. That experience has given me a useful perspective on how things work in practice, and I have developed my skills in marketing and business development through working closely with our Managing Director over the past few years.

What do you like best about working at J Finance?

The team, the clients, and the atmosphere in the office. It is a genuinely enjoyable place to work and the people make all the difference.

What makes you happy?

Spending time with family, being by the sea, and making people laugh. Ideally all three at once.

What is the last thing you do at night?

I think of three things that went well that day, have one last scroll on my phone, and set my alarms. Multiple alarms are definitely required.

What do you like to do at the weekend?

If I am not by the coast, I love heading out with my partner and his two children, exploring wherever the day takes us, occasionally ending up at a pub by happy accident, and heading home for a roast.
