This month we’d like to introduce you to Jacek Jaguszewski…
Q: What is your role at JFinance Ltd?
A: To put it simply, I help people buy insurance; giving them as much of my time as they need, asking questions and listening carefully to the answers they provide. We discuss their needs and look at all the available solutions to make sure they and their families are in the best position to deal with any difficult situations that could arise should the unexpected happen.
Another aspect of my role is to make sure my clients have the right amount of cover for their needs so that they are not under-insured or indeed paying for insurance that they don’t need. In the process, I save them both time and money and give them peace of mind.
Q: What do you like best about working with JFinance?
Flexibility, the very friendly environment, strong work ethic and professionalism with a whole of market offering. This translates to high quality service and advice available for our clients.
Q: Why should someone listen to your advice?
Because I am honest. I may not always provide a solution that people initially think is right, but it is always, in every aspect of my advice, the solution that I think is best for them. To get to that solution I use my training, product knowledge, years of experience I have had in the profession and continuous training and development in the ever-expanding and complex insurance industry.
Q: Describe your typical day.
Mornings are often hectic. I try to start early to help my wife sort out the little one and take her to school. I also try to do a run or workout session as well, so it can get busy.
I then sit down for paperwork and administration. Webinars, calls to providers, business development managers and clients to deal with policies in progress or issuing new ones usually take up much of the day.
Most of my appointments are in the afternoon and evenings and I also use this time to call my existing and new clients.
Sometimes a client urgently needs new insurance, or an unusual or challenging case can interrupt my routine, but I often welcome it because if the result is a happy customer and an opportunity to learn something new then it’s a win/win situation!
Q: What makes you happy?
My family makes me happy – I try to spend as much of my free time as possible with my wife and daughter. I work long hours, so any amount of time spent with them is precious.
I also love the mountains a lot but if a trip outside with the family is not possible, I try to do some bouldering at the local climbing wall.
At work I enjoy cases where the advice I have given has significantly helped the customer, maybe helping them to keep their home, alleviating the financial burden while recuperating after an illness or simply providing peace of mind. I do love a challenge as well, especially with difficult cases.
Q: What do you like to do at the weekend?
My clients often need to see me at weekends, so I usually work on Saturdays and Sundays. I do try to have at least some time off on Sunday to take the family out to do some sightseeing, mountain climbing or visiting friends.
Q: Where was your last holiday?
I managed to get a few days off in May with my wife and our friends, so we went to Italy. We visited a very un-touristy area which made it an amazing adventure and very special. The place was very undeveloped and even the menus were only in Italian. We had a great time though and we’ll definitely go back.
